This lab exposes students to the basic synthetic and purification techniques used in organic chemistry. It also emphasizes observations of the reactions of the principal organic functional groups as well as those with biological relevance such as amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids. Corequisite: CHEM 132.
