Catalog description
This course explores the connections between mathematics and Christian belief in a Catholic intellectual tradition context. Students will examine how mathematics reflects the order, beauty, and rationality of creation, and how Catholic thinkers have historically engaged with mathematical ideas. Through mathematical theory and application, readings, and discussion, students will develop both quantitative reasoning skills and a theological appreciation for the role of mathematics in understanding the world.
