Introductory Microbiology

Catalog description

Introduction to microorganisms, their morphology, metabolism, ecology, and cultural characteristics, with emphasis on their interaction with other organisms, including man. Principles of medical and health related aspects of microbiology, immunology and animal virology are presented. This course is restricted to health sciences and nursing students only. Prerequisite: C or better in BIOL 101/101L or 111/111L.
