Diagnostic Tools and Advanced Skills for the Athletic Trainer

Catalog description

The aim of this course is to enhance the athletic training student?s skill set related to the diagnosis and management of orthopedic and non-orthopedic conditions. Particular emphasis will be placed on the differential diagnosis process and the incorporation of applicable tests and measures used as part of the evaluation and diagnostic process. Students will gain familiarity with clinical diagnostic laboratory testing, including the utilization of diagnostic ultrasound and other imaging techniques.
