Catalog description

This lecture and laboratory course is designed to instruct skills that will enable students to be confident in the preparation for and management of emergent care for their patients. Students will explore best practices and develop basic skills in the areas of preparation, communication, recognition, evaluation, treatment, documentation, and care of acute injuries as well as critical incident and injury management. Students will also develop basic skills related to patient assessment and care with regards to equipment removal, spinal stabilization, and environmental conditions.
