Social media and digital marketing have become a fundamental part of the marketing and advertising mix. Social media is the number one activity reported by Internet users and 80% of people go to Google first when searching for information online (Nielsen). This provides a unique and hugely important opportunity for brands, advertisers, and storytellers to be a part of. This class will range from general principles of platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google and Bing, but also strategy measurement and how to create content for each platform. Throughout this course, you will gain a solid understanding of the fundamental of social media marketing, digital content creation, and search engine optimization. You will learn from real world case studies, and develop your own strategies in a fast-paced and hands-on learning environment. Ultimately, you?ll learn how to pursue and persuade an audience across social and digital channels and devices through a combination of creativity and technical knowledge.
