Catalog description
Classical, likelihood, and Bayesian approaches to statistical inference. Foundations of point and interval estimation, and properties of estimators (bias, consistency, efficiency, sufficiency, robustness). Testing: Type I and II errors, power, likelihood ratios; Bayes factors, posterior probabilities of hypotheses. The predictivist perspective.
