Topics include models of economic actors' (e.g., consumers', workers', firms') decision-making under constraints and their strategic interactions, and supply and demand of goods and services in different market environments. Policy applications include price and labor market discrimination, distribution of income and wealth, promotion of innovation, taxation in various contexts, and government subsidization of goods and services. A key theme is understanding efficiency and distribution of market allocation, who benefits and who doesn't, and how policy can intervene.
