Catalog description

Examination of intervention research designs and measurement strategies that are used in diverse subfields of psychology to learn whether intended changes in outcomes are found and whether changes in processes of theoretical interest help explain observed changes. Students read conceptual papers about intervention research, reports of intervention studies in psychology, write weekly commentaries on readings, work in teams to develop potential interventions at individual, dyadic, group, and community levels, and write a paper reviewing intervention research on their topic of special interest.
