Topics range from homicide to commerce and banking, citizenship to assault, slavery to inheritance, religion to sexuality, political amnesty to judicial torture. Explore, through in-class discussion, theory and practice of law, aspects of social, economic, political, and cultural history visible through law in action, relationship between Athenian law and Athenian democracy.
