Walking for Wellbeing

Catalog description
Designed for students with little exercise experience, or those desiring to add a gentle form of exercise to their routine. Focus will be on walking for health and lifetime fitness. Includes a variety of campus walks designed to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being will be introduced. Students will learn proper walking posture and gait as well as appropriate warm and cool down activities. Brief discussions on topics such as components of physical fitness, nutrition, benefits of walking, motivation, physiological adaptations and well as strength, flexibility, and recovery modalities to improve the walking experience.
