Catalog description

This four-week course offers students an opportunity to understand the principles of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Students are introduced to health conditions commonly encountered in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. Students may encounter patients with a range of post-operative, musculoskeletal, neurologic, cardiac, and peripheral vascular health issues as well as related complications. Students will gain understanding of the chronic care model, learn about resources required to meet patients' needs, and interactive with health professionals from various disciplines
