Pediatric Infectious Diseases - Comprehensive

Catalog description

This course provides three to four weeks of experience in the evaluation, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with infectious diseases or possible infectious diseases. Students will work closely with the infectious diseases team on the general infectious diseases service, especially the fellow and attendings on both the inpatient service; our service is primarily inpatient based but students will also join us in clinic. There may be an opportunity to spend some days with the Immunocompromised/Transplant ID team, also. They will have the opportunity to provide the initial assessment and management plans for patients referred to pediatric infectious diseases.
