Pediatric Infectious Diseases

Catalog description
Students will be introduced to the evaluation, diagnosis, management, and follow-up of children with possible and known infectious diseases. Students will work closely with the pediatric infectious diseases team, especially the fellows and attendings, primarily on the inpatient service, where patients are seen on the pediatric wards and in the intensive care units. They will also attend the weekly Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases clinical case conference,, and learn about the various career pathways within the field. Students meet for orientation at the Pediatric Infectious Diseases office, Room 373, Hanes House, at 9 am the first day; please email Dr McGann the week before you are scheduled to start to confirm orientation time and location.
