Catalog description

This is a four-week elective rotation with 1-week in each of the following disciplines of clinical pathology: transfusion medicine, molecular pathology, microbiology, and hematology/hematopathology. Students pursuing a career in pathology or desiring a greater fund of knowledge in laboratory medicine for their clinical practice are well suited for this offering. Course Requisite: Permission of the instructor is required for enrollment. Maximum Enrollment: 1 (Note: if the course is full, please feel free to contact Dr. Bandarenko. It may be possible that up to 1 additional student may be enrolled by advanced arrangement with, and approval of the course director. Students must contact the course director at least two weeks prior to the start of class for the section that they want to enroll in, if they wish to make schedule changes. Credit: 4.
