Catalog description

This otolaryngology, head and neck surgery selective is designed to introduce the second year medical student to the medical and surgical aspects of comprehensive head and neck surgery, including: pediatrics, otology, laryngology, rhinology, benign and malignant disease of the neck (including thyroid), benign and malignant disease of the upper aerodigestive tract, microvascular reconstruction, and craniomaxillofacial trauma. There will be didactic instruction with patient care exposure in the clinic, emergency department and operating room settings. Credit: 1. Enrollment Max: 3.
