Duke University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This is a seminar course with flexible topics to meet students' needs for their data-based research. The topics will be selected, through a needs assessment of students' common interests, from a list of advanced modeling and analytical techniques that are widely used in the health and behavioral sciences, but may vary from semester to semester. Starting with forming research questions, students in this seminar class work under instructor's guidance and supervision, apply specific modeling and analytical techniques to the research questions, carry out the analysis on existing real-world empirical data, and summarize the research findings.
