Context of Chronic Illness & Care Systems

Catalog description

This course focuses on the environmental and organizational context of chronic illness. Faculty and students will explore competing theoretical perspectives and consider how each would guide an empirical study in a specific research area. The semester also addresses scholarly skill development including research synthesis authorship, academic integrity, grant writing, and human subjects, issues with vulnerable populations.
