Cancer Research from Concept to Translation

Catalog description

The objective of this modular course is to enable the engagement of students in an in-depth exploration of various facets of cancer research—spanning basic, translational, and clinical research (and practice). Each of the thirty participating faculty will organize a module that covers a research topic in their field of expertise. Depending on the faculty members preferred method of instruction students will have the opportunity to engage in formal lectures, moderated discussions or debates, reviews of key papers from the faculty members laboratory/field, clinical case studies (could include shadowing in the clinic), or any combination of these activities.
