Catalog description

Director: Rebecca Schroeder, MD, MMCiJames Lawrence, MD. Innovation in health care is being shaped by a digital transformation that is already underway. This effort was catalyzed by the Federal government's investment in electronic health records, and is now expanded beyond health records to analytics, data visualization, connectivity, and patient engagement. Classes begin in August each year, meeting for four 12-week terms. During each term, classes meet on campus every other Friday and Saturday (a total of six week-ends per term) for the full day, with a short break between quarters. Students take three courses and an Ethics seminar each term. In addition, there are career seminars and industry networking events offered on Thursday evenings prior to class weekends.
