Issues in the acquisition of East Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese and Korean) as a second languages; theories of adult second language acquisition as well as heritage language acquisition/maintenance. Topics including noun phrase accessibility hierarchy, processing of relative clauses, the issue of poverty of stimulus in language acquisition, heritage language, third language acquisition, teaching methods, multilingualism in East Asia.
