Appellate Litigation Clinic - Spring

Catalog description

Each team of students will, under the clinic director's supervision, work on an appeal. Work typically includes reviewing the record, legal research, drafting appellate briefs, preparing excerpts of the record for the court, and preparing for oral argument (if the case is calendared for argument). With the court's and the client's permission, a case may be argued by a student. This is a year-long course requiring enrollment in both semesters; to get credit for the fall you must be enrolled in the spring semester. Enrolled students must attend the clinic intensive weekend.
