This course examines linguistic rights in Peru with a special focus on Indigenous Andean and Amazonian communities and their access to health services. Using critical interculturality as a guiding framework, we explore how language, culture, and power shape citizenship, inclusion, and the fulfillment (or denial) of rights. Through historical texts, policy documents, audiovisual materials, and contemporary testimonies, students will analyze the relationship between language, health, and justice in multicultural societies. Course methodology combines critical discourse analysis, reflective writing, and applied research, encouraging students to connect theoretical debates on linguistic rights with the lived experiences of Indigenous communities.
