Catalog description

This course examines the historical and current development of feminist theories and movements both in the Global North and South. It will begin with the first four waves of feminist movements in the West, including particular focus in each wave and representative theories, and shift to a comparative understanding of how feminist movements started and developed over time in the Global South with a post-colonial perspective. The course will include a range of topics including, but not limited to, liberal, radical, Marxist, and digital feminism. 002088
