The idea in the wake of WW II of a common Europe is still a long way from fulfilling its intended goals, with numerous challenges remaining. This multi-disciplinary course deciphers the complexities of the EU, predicts its future given its demographic, social and economic makeup, and analyzes the EU's institutions and the way they function. It examines its agricultural and industrial policies as well as investigates its monetary and economic policies. From its original six members to today's twenty-seven, the course addresses the question of the future of the EU, which in spite of multiple differences, has created a unique political and economic model. 001481
