If you had an intelligent agent who always tied your shoes for you, would you ever have learned to tie your shoes yourself? What about if that same agent did all your research and writing, and eventually influenced your most important decisions? Artificial intelligence promises to revolutionize our lives, but also strikes at the heart of what it means to be human and act as a moral agent in society. This course shall focus on AI through the lens of ethics: in it, students shall explore the tension between what AI can do, and what AI should do, examining complex ethical questions about the role of AI in society, including its impacts on entertainment, research, creativity, and work. 001327
