Catalog description

This course engages with poetic and experimental image-making, utilizing techniques that trace a historical trajectory from celluloid to digital. Students are exposed to exploration of cinematographic principles and cameraless experiments. Teaching methods include lectures, discussion, readings and screenings focusing on avant-garde film and digital traditions. Students are required to produce final projects deriving or departing from course materials. 001405
