Catalog description

This is the first course in the beginning level Japanese sequence. It is conducted in a seminar style, and emphasizes giving students abundant opportunities to consistently and systematically use Japanese to communicate. It also has independent-learning elements which will help students become better self-learners and acquire a special set of skills that are pertinent to their own interests. Preparation before each session is expected and crucial for student success in this course. There is no prerequisite. 001663
