Catalog description

This selective course enables selected students to continue to refine and demonstrate their mastery of the skills necessary to function as part of the healthcare team in providing emergency medical care as an EMT with an ambulance service, in an Emergency Department, or other specialized services. The ability of a student to enroll in this selective is contingent on its role in the individual student's educational plan and the availability of an approved site with appropriate supervision. Prerequisites: HLTHSCI 516 and permission of advisor and participating site. Course Director: Dr. Samuel Francis. Credit variable 1-4. (Selective) Permission of instructor required. Prerequisite: HLTHSCI 511 and minimum grade A in HLTHSCI 515.Pass/Fail.
