Catalog description

This course will provide students with knowledge and understanding of the Hindi language and Indian culture. The major goal is to develop practical ability to communicate in Hindi for day-to-day needs. Topics include the Hindi script, basic grammar and sentence structure, and development of language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. No previous knowledge of Hindi required.This is a service-learning course. Engagement may include direct, project-based, or research-focused service with local/global community partners among other engaged practices.
