Catalog description

Course educates students about three areas of commercial real estate finance: multifamily lending (apartments), commercial lending (industrial, retail and office buildings) and construction lending. Students will learn concepts that mortgage lenders use to make prudent lending decisions, including: the loan process; underwriting, and structuring complex loans. Additionally they will learn the technical aspects of lending and the specialized skills needed to lend on construction loans. Prerequisite: FMKT 256 or FECON 372.
