Course focuses on finance's critical role in combating, adapting to, & mitigating impact of climate change. Students develop foundational and comprehensive understanding of facts, challenges, and issues associated with climate change and its intersection with financial markets. Course addresses role of sustainable investing including investor reliance on ESG factors. Students will learn about new financial instruments designed to facilitate transition to green economy, the US's complex regulatory structure & diverse roles of government and financial regulators in responding to effects of climate change.
