Catalog description

Geochemistry of the water-solid interface of soils, minerals, and particles in earth systems. Topics will cover the chemical composition of soils, geochemical specalation, mineral weathering and stability, sorption and ion exchange, soil redox processes, and chemical kinetics at environmental surfaces. Prerequisites: CEE 461L or CEE 561L/ENVIRON 542L or permission of instructor.
