This course explores the economics of the climate change and related public policies. Key topics include the social cost of carbon, the design and evaluation of climate mitigation policies across sectors, the economics of climate adaptation, and climate finance and justice. Students will engage with theoretical frameworks and empirical methods from cutting-edge research, alongside real-world policy practices and debates. The course aims to help students develop a deeper understanding of the economic dimensions of climate change and gain practical skills to apply economic analysis in support of climate policies and responses. It is designed for graduate students and advanced undergraduates.
