Catalog description

In the United States there is widespread interest across the political spectrum in reforming criminal justice policies. Social scientists have responded to this phenomenon with a flurry of research attempting to understand the circumstances that led to the creation of this new, expansive criminal justice system and its consequences. This course considers empirical research from economics literature on a variety of topics related to the criminal justice system. STATA or R required. Prerequisite: Economics 204D.
