Documentary as a discipline was central to bearing witness. 'The Documentary Turn: Southern Cultures' offers an ongoing conversation focused on the proposition of the 'documentary turn' in the 21st century. Information flows and new technologies have changed the documentary enterprise in fundamental ways that open new possibilities and challenge continuing conventions.
