Catalog description

This course provides a review of important mathematical concepts involved in formulating and analyzing business problems. Topics are taught from an applications perspective, specifically applied to business problems. Each class session is organized to provide a brief overview of the session topic followed by the opportunity for students to solve a series of problems focused on business applications of the topic. Specific math topics included are using math to represent business problems, linear equations, quadratic equations, linear inequalities, functions, derivatives and their applications, the time value of money, and discounting.
