Catalog description
This class explores the aesthetic, social and cosmological dimensions of breathing in relation to the global health and environmental challenges that compromise breathing in our current world. Focus on the diverse ways musicians craft the breath, represent it, and respond to the hazards of air pollution, lung infection, police brutality, and discrimination. Emphasis on qualitative method and cultural analysis. Final paper or creative project. Final paper or creative project.
