Cherokee Language 4: Cherokee Nation and Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Dialects

Catalog description

This course is the fourth semester of an introduction to the Cherokee language and the Cherokee cultural context of this language. This course is offered in a online format. The class will focus on completive tenses and transitive verbs, with an emphasis on conversation. Paired with CHEROKEE 204. Graduate students must complete a large-scale project focused on creating tools for language preservation (e.g. online study programs, translated books, short films, etc.)
