Catalog description

This course covers the fundamentals of analyzing human brain imaging data and the application of those results to the design of clinical neuromodulation therapies (i.e. deep brain stimulation (DBS) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)). We will focus on brain imaging analyses that are used to define 'connectomic' descriptions of human brain networks. Part I of the course concentrates on structural connectivity estimates derived from diffusion-weighted MRI. Part II of the course concentrates on functional connectivity estimates derived from resting-state fMRI. Part III of the course demonstrates how those brain connectivity models are being used to customize clinical stimulation therapies to individual patients.
