This seminar course will examine the writings, sermons, meditations, and prayers of Howard Thurman as means to exploring the nature and content of the spiritual life in his thought. In particular, this seminar will probe how the spiritual life, as presented in Thurman's writings, funds the prophetic life to reveal the integration of the contemplative and active life.
