Supervised Clinical Practice Experience Rotations are each a five-week required clinical rotation for second year PA students which focus on the role of the physician assistant in each of the following clinical settings: family medicine, internal medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, behavioral medicine, emergency medicine, surgery and two electives. The student will actively engage in applying the medical knowledge and clinical skills gained during the didactic year while continuing to develop clinical reasoning through an evidence-based approach to the evaluation and management of patients in ambulatory and in-patient hospital care settings. Students will also work to incorporate health promotion and disease prevention into patient care and advocate for healthy lifestyles - 5 week session. Spring II - Phase II.
