Catalog description

This course focuses on nursing concepts and skills related to the development and application of leadership/management theory in clinical settings. Students will demonstrate safe, competent nursing care management, delegation of nursing tasks, and prioritization of patient care - 2 theory hours. Successful completion of both the theory and clinical components of the course with a letter grade of 'C+' (2.3) or higher is necessary to pass the course. Prerequisites:Successful completion of the previous semester's Nursing course work with a 'C+' (2.3) or higher and eligible for senior 2 level standing in the Nursing program. Corequisite: NURL 4200 - clinical.
