Catalog description

This course introduces nursing concepts related to psychiatric mental health nursing. The unique needs of clients across the lifespan with mental health issues are explored - 2 theory hours. Successful completion of both the theory and clinical components of the course with a letter grade of 'C+' (2.3) or higher is necessary to pass the course. Prerequisites: Successful completion of the previous semester's Nursing course work with a 'C+' (2.3) or higher and successful completion of or concurrent enrollment in the Examined Life CORE requirement with a grade of 'C' (2.0) or higher, eligible for junior 1 level standing in the Nursing program. Corequisite: NURL 3106 - clinical.
