Health Assessment

Catalog description

This course introduces students to health assessment concepts and techniques including health history interviews and physical assessments of patients across the lifespan - 3 theory hours. Successful completion of both the theory and lab components of this course with a letter grade of 'C+' (2.3) or higher is necessary to pass the course. Prerequisites: Successful completion of the previous semester's Nursing course work with a 'C+' (2.3) or higher and successful completion of or concurrent enrollment in BIO 3600 and BIO 3605 with a grade of 'C' (2.0) or higher. Successful completion of all required nursing pre-clinical courses (see prerequisite criteria) and admission to the Nursing program. Corequisite: NURL 2014 - lab.
