Catalog description
This course explores elementary differential and integral calculus with applications in business, social sciences, sciences, computer science, and mathematics. Every topic is considered graphically, numerically and analytically enabling the student to gain a deep understanding of one of the most important accomplishments of the millennium – calculus - 4 lecture hours. Purchase of a specific brand and model of a graphing calculator is required. Prerequisite: sufficient score on mathematics placement exam or MATH 1500 with a grade of 'C-' (1.7) or better or equivalent. MATH 1600 is a CORE Equivalent Course which may be substituted for the Quantitative Literacy and Social Issues CORE requirement.
