Catalog description

Expressive Writing allows students to explore the techniques of expressive writing as a healing tool. A premise of the course is that, through the creative process, students will gain empathy for others and a deeper understanding of their emotional lives. Students will both practice expressive writing and study the work of Dr. James Pennebaker (Writing to Heal) and others who have published their research on the connections between expressive writing, stress relief, and improvement in overall health.
