Catalog description

Child Abuse: Assessment, Reporting and Treatment. Overview of identification, assessment, and reporting of child abuse and neglect. This course will include discussion of initial response and ongoing treatment for children, adolescents and adult survivors including available community resources. There will be a speaker from Marin County Child Protective Services. Course meets BBS requirement for training in child abuse and neglect for marriage and family therapists. This course is restricted to students in the Counseling Psychology Graduate Program.
