Catalog description
This course explores the historical and foundational concepts, theories, and principles of communication studies. Students develop the skills necessary to communicate effectively in face-to-face and digital environments. Ethical principles, in both private and civic arenas, are emphasized. Students critically examine the role of mass and digital media in our world and explore how interpersonal, intercultural, small group and organizational communication patterns influence and shape how we perceive and understand the world.
