BUS 1040 Introduction to Sport Management -- This course provides a general introduction to the sports management field. There are three main goals associated with this course: (a) to provide a perspective of the sports and recreation industry, (b) to explore the wide variety of exciting career opportunities in an expanding array of sport and recreation delivery systems such as parks and recreation, health clubs, university and professional sport, and (c) to focus on some of the most important issues impacting the sport and recreation field today.
